Vikram's Iru Mugan gets a release date!

The psychological thriller is aiming for a Ramzan release

Vikram is looking to really make an impact this year. The actor has been facing quite a bit of highs and lows in his career in the past few years. The actors has alternatively given good movies combined with duds like Kanthaswamy, Deiva Thirumagal, Rajapattai, Thaandavam, David, I and 10 Endradhukulla, the last one being a big flop. But it has been a very long time since he gave a memorable film like Pithamagan and Anniyan. Now, it looks like Iru Mugan could be one such path-breaking movie for the actor, and here is an exciting update for the film.

The shooting for the scientific thriller is going on at a brisk pace in Chennai. Also, the actor is juggling Iru Mugan with Garuda, for which the actor is heading out to Oman. Now, there are reports that suggest that, if the shooting continues at this good pace, then the makers of the film plan to release the big movie on July 8.

The special significance of the day is that July 8 marks the end of the month of Ramadan, when Eid-ul-Fitar will be celebrated, which also happens to be a Friday. It would certainly be amazing if director Anand Shankar could release Iru Mugan on the public holiday and it would become a doubly festive occasion for Chiyaan fans.
