Here's how Sanjay Dutt spent the first day after his release from Yerwada jail as a FREE MAN - view pics!

It was a day of freedom for the actor and this is how it unfolded…

Sanjay Dutt is finally free. He doesn’t have a sword dangling over him anymore now. No more court cases, no more paroles, no more bail queries…just a life full of happiness with his family. He just have good things to look forward to. Reports suggest he has 6 films in the offing and if that’s true, he is all set to make a great comeback on screen. But we are pretty sure February 25, 2016 will be etched in his and our memories as a day when Dutt walked as a free man. A lot happened throughout the day and here’s a quick recap of the same.

7 am: The actor was rumoured to come out of Pune’s Yerawada Jail.

8 am: People protesting against his early release gathered outside the jail but Police detained them. In Mumbai however, banners were erected to welcome him.

8:24 am: His family left for Yerawda jail to receive Sanjay, accompanied by lawyers.

8:41 am: Sanjay Dutt gets done with all the formalities and emerges a free man from the jail after serving 42 months of his term.

8:53 am: The actor and his wife Maanyata leave for Pune airport to go to Mumbai in a chartered flight. He even speaks to the media and says, “There is no easy walk to freedom my friends.” Rajkumar Hirani also accompany them.

11: o4: Sanjay Dutt reaches Mumbai with his wife Maanyata Dutt for company.

11:37 am: Sanjay Dutt leaves for Siddhivinayak temple to offer prayers and gratitude to God.

11:57 pm: Fans gather outside his house to welcome Sanju Baba!

11:58 pm: The actor offers his prayers to the deity.

12:21 pm: Dutt leaves to visit his mother Nargis’ grave.

12:32 pm: Dutt reaches the destination and offers his prayers to his late mother.

13:30 pm: The actor reaches his Bandra home and offers his prayers to his late father Sunil Dutt.

14:50 pm: He comes out of the house to greet his fans and thanks them for their support.

14:55 pm: The actor addresses the media as a much relieved man. He remembers his father because he knows Sunil Dutt would have been the happiest today. He called Maanyata his best half not his better half.

15:09 pm: His kids surround him while he is still addressing the press. They made for a cute family picture.
