Yes, that’s right seems like Munna Bhai‘s freedom walk out of Pune’s prison has been preponed…
Sanjay Dutt’s release from Yerwada jail will now happen at 7am and NOT 9am! The actor who’s exit from the prison has become the talk of not just tinsel town but also fans all thanks to the buzz will be received by his family. Sanjay Dutt will then take a chopper back home in Mumbai and is said to go to the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai to offer his prayers. From there Dutt will go to pay his respects at his mother Narigis Dutt’s grave. While the first pictures of Sanjay Dutt’s exit from Yerwada jail are not yet out, everybody is eager to find out whether the actor has transformed again and if he will show-off his chiselled body before the paparazzi again.
7 am: The actor was supposed to walk free from Pune’s Yerawada Jail.
8 am: Protest broke out outside the jail and the police detained the protesters. However, in Mumbai, posters of the actor’s return put up outside his Bandra house. Check out the pictures of the same.
Here’s a little to lowdown on what exactly happen in the 1993 Bombay Blast case. Sanjay Dutt was stopped at Mumbai airport when he was returning from Mauritius for illegal possession of AK-56 rifle, which was a part of smuggled arms consignment that came into India before 1993 blasts that killed over two hundred people. What followed came as a shocker to most. Dutt confessed during interrogation, but later backed out. He was however arrested and prisoned in 1994 for a span of 16 months, after which he got a bail. In 2006, TADA charges against Dutt were dropped, but he was sentenced for illegal possession of arms and given a six year rigourous sentence term. It was later in 2007 the actor was sent to jail again, but was released again within 18 days. In 2013 Dutt’s sentence was reduced from six years to five and since he had already been to the jail once it meant that the actor was to serve just a little over three years term.
However, the actor’s constant paroles kept him in the limelight with public protesting against Sanjay getting preferential treatment. In fact, this was even discussed in the international media too. Even now as Dutt’s family is excited about his release a Public Interest Litigation has been filed against the actor by a social activist. Sanjay Dutt has indeed been one of the most controversial actor’s of Bollywood.
