Last night a sad news broke out that Balika Vadhu-fame, Pratyusha Banerjee is no more. The actress hung herself to a ceiling fan in her apartment in Goregoan, following a failed relationship. Reports suggested that Pratyusha was depressed after boyfriend Rahul Raj got engaged to another woman. However in a new development, we hear that the police suspect some foul play in the death of the actress and have launched a full fledged probe.

Sources tell us that Rahul Raj was the one who brought Pratyusha to Kokilaben Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. The producer completed all formalities, before running away with her mobile phone. Sources suggest he ran away fearing backlash from Pratyusha’s friends gathering at the hospital. The police have initiated a probe and are recording his statement currently at an undisclosed location. # Rahul Raj and Pratyusha Banerjee met at a common friend’s party in 2013. They got to know each other at the party, however they weren’t in touch after that.

# A year-and-a-half later, in 2014, they met again at a club and started staying in touch.

# Again on June 21, 2015 they met at Pratyusha’s place for a party and since then they were inseparable. They spent 14 hours at a stretch talking to each other that day and the next day again, they spent 13 more hours with each other.

# Soon after, they got into a relationship and the duo were never shy of hiding their relationship. Both of them used to go to parties together and were always seen by each other’s side.

# In fact, Pratyusha‘s Instagram account is full of pictures of both of them and it proves the couple weren’t shy of PDA.

# Pratyusha and Rahul even celebrated each others birthday parties together with all their friends.

# The duo were also recently seen together on the celebrity show, Power Couple. The couple were as any other couple on the show and while every couple had some ups and downs during the show, they also had a few issues. But while leaving the show, they were on good terms and still in love (or that’s what it seems).

# Post the show, we hear that the couple used to stay together in Goregoan.

# However a month back, reports suggest that Pratyusha discovered about another woman’s presence in Rahul’s life.

# Reports also state that she even discovered that Rahul was engaged to her and this pushed her into depression. Some sources say that she was drinking too much alcohol and using drugs post this revelation, but nothing is certain yet. However, they continued to stay together.

# Last week, the couple were even spotted playing Holi happily at a party.

# Last night, sources say that she called Rahul minutes before killing herself to the ceiling fan (current assumption, we are still waiting for the autopsy report to know if it was a suicide or murder) in the apartment she shared with Rahul. Her boyfriend took her to the hospital but she was declared dead on arrival.
