The actor plays the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. He is a Rajput ruler and the husband of Padmini/Padmavati who ends her life committing Jauhar (self-immolation) rather than surrender to the lust of the powerful Alauddin Khilji. Ranveer Singh plays Alauddin in the film, which is made on a mega scale. We have seen how hot Ranveer is looking with his kohl eyes and that beard. His look is yet to be unveiled. Shahid looks like a valiant king in the poster that we have seen so far. He will have more bare-bodied shots in the film than Ranveer Singh.
