Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are magic on screen. There is something about this couple which will never fade away. Whenever they decide to come together, we are game for it. Dilwale did no justice to their chemistry, which is eternal, and that left many fans really sad because it’s not often that you get to see the two of them together in films. And turns out that now the wait will be excruciatingly long. Kajol revealed in her interview with Mumbai Mirror that her next film with SRK will happen only after three years.
Talking to the daily, Kajol said, “Shah Rukh and I come together once in six-seven years. That’s what we’ve been doing for 25 years so there’s another three-four years to go for our next film.” Ouch! That hurts. An onscreen couple like them deserves to be watched again and again but that will not happen. However, you will get to see Kajol in a film soon, apart from VIP 2. Speaking about her home production, she said, “My home production should roll in September. I’m really happy with the script. Good scripts in any language are hard to come by. I’ve been picky since the beginning and have only done films that interested me. It has worked for me all my life and I don’t feel the need to change it.” She further talked about the concept of the film saying, “Anand has scripted it but I wouldn’t know if it is an adaptation of a Gujarati play. It’s really funny. I loved it and pounced on it. We are also producing a Marathi film which should roll soon. Another Marathi film is already on the floors. Ajay (husband Ajay Devgn) and I don’t stretch ourselves, but things are happening, slowly and steadily.”
Now we can only hope that Shah Rukh and Kajol break the pattern of how things have been and decide on doing a film together, sooner!
