Sadak, Agneepath, Khalnayak – 5 iconic posters of Sanjay Dutt’s classic films

Sanjay Dutt turns 58 today and just a few days before his birthday, the makers released the first look of his comeback film, Bhoomi and it looks bloody brilliant. The poster features Sanjay Dutt’s face, just the half of it, with blood dripping from his mouth. What I liked most about the poster was the neo-noir feel to it. The whole poster is in black and white with the blood in deep red.

Sanjay Dutt started his career with Rocky in 1981 and after a slate of bad phase, resurged with Mahesh Bhatt’s Naam and followed it up with the iconic Sadak. He also starred in other iconic films, be it, Saajan, Khalnayak, Gumrah, Aatish etc. After again a low phase he fought back with his National Award winning performance in Vaastav. He then shifted to character roles and was acclaimed for films like Mission Kashmir, Kaante etc. It was then his performance in Munna Bhai MBBS, that catapulted his career once again. Since then he and his stardom has become sort of invincible to the box office performances. He, later returned with the sequel to Munna Bhai MBBS, titled Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Despite his films being good or bad his films posters have always been iconic. His last film was the all time blockbuster PK, where he had a very important special appearance. And after returning from the Jail, he’ll be seen in Omung Kumar’s action thriller, Bhoomi.
