Breaking! Chandra Nandini all set for a leap with the entry of Bimbisara

Star Plus’ show Chandra Nandini is all set for a leap. We will see the entry of Bimbisara on the show. Moreover, we will see Chandra (Rajat Tokas) slowly transforming into a ruthless ruler than the slightly emotional one that he is now. Nandini (Shweta Basu Prasad) will separate from Chandra and will be his rival. The current track shows Chandra sentencing his mother Rajmata Moora (Papiya Sengupta) to death. This will drive a wedge in Chandra and Nandini’s relationship and they will separate. The Ekta Kapoor production starring Rajat Tokas and Shweta Prasad Basu started off as a historical saga of the Mauryan dynasty. The story also saw the entry of a Vishkanya (serpent maiden), a conspiracy theory and somewhere the love cum hate story of Chandra and Nandini was lost. The show’s original premise of a revenge and love drama will be revived.  The historical drama is about Chandragupta, the founder of the Mauryan empire, a great warrior and ruler, known for uniting the Indian sub-continent. So far, the show was exploring his rather unknown love story with Nandini, the daughter of his rival Dhana Nanda. In the show, the historical facts are twisted with fiction. The show is in the top 20.

Chandragupta had three wives, Nandini , Durdhara and Helena. His wife Durdhara was also the mother of his only son Bindusar who became his heir and the second Samrat of Mauryan Empire. However, Durdhara couldn’t live long to see her son growing up because she died young. On the show, Nandini is shown raising Bindusara. Star Plus is attempting to salvage the show and that’s why the leap track is being introduced. With Bimbisar coming into the picture, the story will have another strong character entering the show. While the revenge story of Chandra and Nandini will add drama to the show. After leap, the fortunes of many shows changed like Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi , Kasam and Naamkarann. The channel is hoping for the same.
