After Karan Wahi, Gaurav Gera slams Pahredaar Piya Ki! Check out the funny video of Shopkeeper-Chutki

After Karan Wahi the latest one to slam Sony TV’s  show Pahredaar Piya Ki is Gaurav Gera. Check the video posted by Gaurav on his Instagram page where is making fun of Pahredaar Piya Ki, using his trademark characters Chutki and Shopkeeper. Gaurav always makes funny videos in the Chutki and Shopkeeper avatar and takes digs at people and situations. And this time it is the Sony TV serial that has raked in controversy with its off beat content.

Gaurav in seen dressed like Tejsavi Prakash that is Diya from Pahredaar Piya Ki and is speaking like Chutki. Though Shopkeeper is missing from the scene this time,  Gaurav is playing the avatar of shopkeere’s son, who is supposed to be a caricature of Munna, that is Ratan and they jointly talk about Pahredaar Piya Ki .

Considering Gaurav shot to fame was Sony TV’s Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, this video might not go well with Sony officials. But Gaurav seems to be in the zone of that comedy self where he playing pranks and entertaining people in good humour. In the past also he had imitated Lata Mangeshkar, which did not go well with the singer.

Pahredaar Piya Ki, launched last week, seems to have opened a Pandora’s box since the time it’s been launched. Firstly, it looked like a show glorifying child marriage. Second, there was whole Karan Wahi controversy, where the actor questioned the content of the show.

Though the makers and cast of Pahredaar Piya Ki defended and stood by their content. But as they say no publicity is bad publicity. This whole thing worked in show’s favour. The opening TRP is above 1 which is very unique for a Sony show as most of the shows are all below 1 ratings.

Tejaswi Prakash’s comeback show after Swaragini was welcomed by the fans. Dressed in elaborate Rajsthani costumes Tejaswi looked Pretty as a Rajasthani bride. Also she seems to doing a good job as an actress. While child actor Afan Khan also seems to liked by viewers for his honest performance. But ultimately the story should be able to sustain in the longer run… no amount of controversy can make the show last longer.

Pahredaar Piya Ki in the first week itself opened with the twist of why Diya a 18 year old got married to a 10 year old boy Ratan. So the unusual child marriage story and its repercussions will now be the focus of the story. Next in the line is the big leap when Ratan will grow up as a man and than his new challenge to accept Diya as his wife. So seems like makers have kept enough drama to keep us hooked to this show.
