Dunno about Aamir Khan but Babita Phogat wants Shahid Kapoor in Dangal 2 – check out tweets

Who isn’t hoping for a sequel to Aamir Khan’s Dangal? It’s the film of the century. In fact, even director Nitesh Tiwari had recently admitted how if at all he gets an idea on taking Dangal forward then he would definitely take it up. He said, “I haven’t thought about it. I don’t know. I don’t plan so much in advance. But if there’s something really exciting, then why not.”  However, little did we expect Shahid Kapoor will happen to join the running for this much anticipated sequel. So Shahid and Babita Phogat had a loving Twitter chat this morning. Basically Babita came across this interview where Shahid had mentioned how he wanted to play the role of either Geeta or Babita Phogat in the movie. Of course, it is a huge compliment coming from Shahid. But what’s bigger is how Babita decided to return this admiration by recommending Shahid for Dangal 2.

Taking up to Twitter, Babita wrote,  “@shahidkapoor sir i read in newspaper anywhere ki aapki wish h ki aap babita phogat ka roll play kare dangal 2 se ye wish puri hogi aapki (Shahid sir I read in newspaper that you wish to you play Babita Phogat’s role. Dangal 2 will fulfill this wish of yours) Obviously she doesn’t have much of a say in the casting of the film but given a chance, she would definitely suggest Shahid for the Dangal 2. No wonder Shahid was all smiles as she replied back to this tweet saying, “Haha that’s so sweet of you babita. You really are such an inspiration.”Thanku @shahidkapoor Sir. Jaldi hi aapse mulakat hogi.”
