Only a few big superstars have achieved this feat…
Neel Sethi’s The Jungle Book has broken quite a few records at the domestic box office, but the latest feat that it has achieved has left everybody amazed. The film has crossed the Rs 250 crore mark in the gross collection, a feat only a few superstars like Aamir, Shahrukh and Salman Khan have achieved. Stars like Akshay Kumar (Rowdy Rathore – Rs 190 crore gross approx), Varun Dhawan (Dilwale – Rs 200 crore gross approx) and Kangana Ranaut (Rs 200 crore+ gross approx) have not touched this magical figure too.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed about this incredible feat in his tweet, “#TheJungleBook [Week 6] Fri 59 lacs, Sat 90 lacs, Sun 1.11 cr, Mon 49 lacs. Total: Rs 180.06 cr nett. Gross: Rs 250.09 cr. India biz. ATBB.”
The Jungle Book has been loved by one and all across India and even in week six, it continues to hold its mark at the box office. The film has received great reviews and Neel Sethi‘s performance has been raved about. Though it will be difficult for the film to cross the Rs 200 cross mark in nett collections, The Jungle Book has achieved a huge feat already.
The Jungle Book is also the highest Hollywood grosser in India and has set a new benchmark for other Hollywood films to follow. It is also the HIGHEST grosser of 2016 in India till date.
