Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a gem for the cinematic universe. His acting chops are unmatchable. And his struggle story is just commendable. He deserves each and every bit of success that came his way, or even more. His acting skills made so many dialogues of his movies iconic. He is celebrating his 42nd birthday today and we cannot pour him with enough wishes but we can list out a few dialogues that have been etched deep into our hearts for one of the many reasons-style, message, humour or just because it’s Nawaz saying those words.

He marked his debut with Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh and went unbearably unnoticed. He kept appearing in small roles over the coming years and started earning a name for himself. Then he hit right for each and every heart in the nation with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur 2. He instantly became everyone’s favourite actor and after that there was no looking back. Be it late, appreciation, accolades and fame started pouring in.

Nawazuddin is currently basking in the glory of Raman Raghav 2.0 which was screened at Cannes 2016. He is a regular at the prestigious film festival. Raman Raghav 2.0 marks his eighth film at the film gala in four years. Earlier films to make it to the Cannes were The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, Miss Lovely and Liar’s Dice to name a few. His seven films as an actor and one short film as a producer have gone to the film festival. His debut production Miyan Kal Aana, that is directed by his brother, Shamas Siddiqui, was also screened at the festival.
