The Dangal actor now has a Hollywood connection

Aamir Khan is one of the most active celebs in Bollywood when it comes to supporting good causes or movements.He has supported the Narmada Bachao Andolan, hosted Satyamev Jayate and now he has is all praise for another great cause.

The Dangal actor Tweeted recently praising the wildlife conservation efforts of Hollywood actor Paul Blackthorne. If you guys remember, Paul played the villain in the Ashutosh Gowariker film Lagaan as Captain Russell. So that is how Aamir knows Paul. The Hollywood actor has started a movement in Vietnam for saving Rhinos, which are still actively hunted there for their horns. Paul has stated a website called Save The Rhino Vietnam that is really gaining momentum. This moment has been created solely to stop poaching of Rhinos, who are an endangered species.

Aamir had this to say about the cause,” Hey guys, our very own Captain Russell (Paul Blackthorne) from Lagaan is doing some good work for a change! I think it would be great if we can all support him.” We hear you loud and clear Aamir.

It is great to see that Paul is spearheading such a noble cause. But here is another interesting revelation for you, Paul Blackthorne, who was in Lagaan, is now a major character in the super popular TV series Arrow! He plays the role of Captain Lance in the superhero series starring Stephen Amell.
