Cannes 2016: Fashion experts Manish Mishra and Ashley Rebello give a DIVERSE view on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's red carpet outing!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to break the internet as she has made her red carpet appearance at the 69th Cannes International Film Festival. Needless to say, fans are going gaga over her embellished cape gown avatar that is stealing hearts all over the internet. She has donned an Ali Younes couture outfit which in our opinion seems a little too safe for the actress. Although, if you guys remember, the red carpet of Golden Globe Awards was full of Hollywood divas donning cape gowns. Now that was in the beginning of this year but surely it seems to have gone outdated as nobody since then has donned the outfit.

However, when we spoke to two ace fashion designers, we were in for some surprise as they both gave us two extreme answers. While one really liked Ash’s appearance, the other one called it outdated. We spoke to DNA’s fashion editor, Manish Mishra and here’s what he had to say, “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sheer and embellished Ali Younes couture outfit looked dated and didn’t have an of-the-moment feel to it. Besides the blue eye shadow didn’t really complement the ensemble at all and looked completely off. Perhaps she should have picked a frothy Giambattista Valli number or a cut work Versace gown or a Balmain pantsuit.”

Ashley Rebello said otherwise. “I liked the nude color with gold. I liked the body hugging silhouette and the cape just gave a lot of drama, the hair, the drapes. I liked it all. One thing I didn’t like was her eye makeup. The blue eyeshadow just didn’t go well. Otherwise I really liked it,” is what the stylist had to say.
