Abhishek Bachchan helps EDUCATE 30,000 underprivileged children!

Abhishek Bachchan is a really talented actor and a great entertainer, but did you know he is a philanthropist too. The actor, who was last seen in All Is Well,  has long been associated with Magic Bus, one of India’s largest NGOs and he works towards creating a better future for over a million children living in poverty. Recently, AB junior held a fund raiser in Singapore and Hyderabad for the schooling of 30,000 underprivileged children, in collaboration with the NGO.

But this wasn’t his first such initiative. In the past too, Abhishek has raised funds towards this cause by organizing the Playing for Humanity celebrity football matches. He has time and again contributed a percentage of amount collected from the ticket sales of his Pro Kabbadi league team’s matches (Jaipur Pink Panthers). He has even attended many fund-raising charity dinners, proceeds of which went towards the education of underprivileged children from Maharashtra, Telengana and Andhra Pradesh.

But still the actor is his humble self as he mentioned, “The incredible work that this organisation is doing to support around 4,00,000 children amazes me. I’m happy that my contribution at the Singapore and Hyderabad benefit dinners will go towards building the future of 30,000 children.”

Talking about Abhishek‘s support, Magic Bus founder – Matthew Spacie added, “Abhishek has been one of Magic Bus’ key supporters and helps us in raising visibility around the cause of children’s education and youth rights to livelihoods. We are immensely grateful for his constant encouragement and advocacy of the cause, enabling our work in 2500 of India’s poorest slums and villages.”
