Hey! Did you miss Trending Tunes? We are back with another round up of the best songs from the week. It has been long since we had an international artist on our list. Well, let us welcome Diplo to Bollywood. With his collab with Pritam for the Jab Harry Met Sejal song, he sure has only added to his fandom. Pritam is certainly outdoing his own work with his this year’s discography. We are still drooling over songs from Jagga Jasoos, and now we have JHMS to talk about. So, let us begin. You know the drill, turn the volume all the way up…
Phurrr (Jab Harry Met Sejal)
SRK weaved magic with Akon’s Chammak Chall; a song that is still famous. Now, he is repeating the history with Diplo’s Phurr. Now, I haven’t watched the movie, so I have no idea how the song fits in the narrative, but even if its a promotional song, I have got to admit, Phurr was a good call. Phurr almost sounds like a Madonna song, but we are not complaining. It is anyway a breath of fresh air in Bollywood. Pritam, take a bow!
Disco Disco (A Gentleman)
Honestly, I did not like this song when it came out. But dayummm, it grows on you. I have listened to this song multiple times over the week, with no intention to stop in near future. Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra’s quirky moves make the song a fun watch. Let the song get a strong hold of you…listen to it again. Sachin-Jigar, whom I can’t thank enough for Meri Pyaari Bindu, have composed the music for A Gentleman, which is turning out to be quite a great album. Waiting for Bandook Meri Laila.
Galti Se Mistake (Jagga Jasoos)
Another one that will be remembered for the music video more than the music. This song is high quirky quotient. We see Ranbir Kapoor at his goofy best and pull off some of the slickest, wackiest, and cutest dance moves ever. The song has been composed by Pritam and has been sung by two of the most talented singers of this generation Arijit Singh and Amit Mishra. You’d find yourself chuckling at one point while watching this song.
Hawayein (Jab Harry Met Sejal)
Such a beautiful song. This one is also decorated with stunning visuals. Though there is a very sexy looking Shah Rukh Khan in the video, but the main hero here is the melody. Such spectacular lyrics, voice by fan favourite Arijit Singh. A must listen for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Bakheda (Toilet – Ek Prem Katha)
Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar look so cute together. This song composed by Vickey Prasad and sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan is a quirky romantic number.
Which one is your favourite?
