Dhanush to complete The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir in Paris

Dhanush is all set to complete the shooting for his first Hollywood movie, The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir, and he will do it in style in the land of romance, Paris. Dhanush had posted the above picture of his on Twitter, taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower, along with a caption that confirms his shoot for his debut Hollywood movie is on its last leg of completion with regards to the shoot. His tweet read, “And the #fakir reaches his last stop ! #paris #ontopofeiffeltower.” We are quite excited about this as this means we will be able to see his Hollywood debut soon.

For those who are new to this piece of news, the movie will have Dhanush as the lead actor and is based on the novel of the same name (actually longer – The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe) written by Roman Puertolas. Apart from Dhanush, the movie also stars Hollywood actors like Uma Thurman (Kill Bill series), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillip) and Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch).  The movie travails the journey of the fakir Ajatshatru (Dhanush) to track down his father, whom he has never seen before, after the demise of his mother, which takes him to Paris. Here during his search he meets a Hollywood star, falls in love and get himself embroiled in gang wars. The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is directed by Ken Scott, and has music by Nicolas Errera, with Amit Trivedi providing two Hindi songs.

Dhanush, who also will be seen this year in VIP 2 with Kajol and Amala Paul, had once said about the project, “So happy to be a part of this film with collaborators from 3 continents, looking forward to an extraordinary journey ahead.” Director Ken Scott also revealed his interest in working with the Raanjhanaa actor, “I’m super excited to be working with Dhanush who is so talented and great to work with.”
