Aamir Khan will surely need his towel after seeing this loving tribute to Dangal by Chinese fans – watch video

Dangal finally ends its record-breaking spree in China, thanks to which it earned just more than Rs 1800 crore, at the global box office. Thus, the movie actually got more than two-thirds of its collections from our neighbouring country, that just can’t get enough of Aamir Khan’s wrestling drama. Aamir Khan, who is called as Uncle Khan by his Chinese fans, is their favourite Indian star there, and most of his recent social dramas like 3 Idiots, PK and now Dangal have worked really well in the country. Now that the movie has bowed out of the box office race, falling just short of the coveted Rs 2000 crore mark, it looks like Dangal will remain in the hearts of the fans in China forever.

Why, you ask? Because of the video below, we realise as to just how much has Dangal affected them. A few fans of the movie made this video tribute for the film, where they are seen performing to the beat of the Dangal song, Dhaakad. The video has also been edited quite well, and the performers seem to have understood the lyrics well enough, and performed the steps accordingly. There is also a scene, where a couple of girls walk towards the camera in Indian attire.

Here’s the video…

Aamir Khan’s Dangal is currently the highest-grossing Indian film at the global box office and also the highest-grossing non-Hollywood foreign film in China. Earlier there were rumours that the movie had crossed the Rs 2000 crore mark at the box office, thanks to China, but then the Dangal team themselves revealed that it hadn’t earned so much. While this can be seen as an act of honesty on the part of the makers of the movie, we do wonder who gave out the fudged numbers then.

Dangal is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is based on the life of former wrestler, Mahavir Singh Phogat, and how he coached his daughters, Geeta and Babita, to become international champions in wrestling. Dangal also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim (who won the National Award for the Best Supporting Actress).
