Friendships are fickle in Bollywood, a phrase that has been used so often that it has almost lost meaning. But the bright side is there are patch-ups as well which should be talked about more. Salman and Shah Rukh Khan buried the hatchet and given us the greatest gift of their friendship in last one decade. And now we hear another patch up could be a possibility. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father passed away recently and her once best friend Rani Mukerji dropped by to be by her side. Yes, we aren’t kidding. A rumour of such nature is doing the rounds that Rani went to meet Aishwarya to console her. Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “Aishwarya was visited at home by many of her friends which included Rani Mukerji, Mana Shetty (Suniel Shetty’s wife) and Kokilaben Ambani who consoled her.” Now there isn’t any confirmed report as to why Aishwarya and Rani who were best of friends had such a fallout that they never even spoke to each other, apparently. One story suggests that when Shah Rukh Khan decided to cast Rani instead of Aishwarya in Chalte Chalte, their relationship soured and then ended. There’s also another conjecture and it goes like this… Rumours suggest Rani and Abhishek were dating and they broke up because of Ash. Nobody has confirmed any of these reports apart from the fact that these two ladies were not on talking terms.
Hence, this gesture by Rani could be her way of mending fences. Bollywood is a small place, how long can one avoid another. Also, it has been a long time since they had a fallout for whatever reason and guess Mrs Chopra has decided to let bygones be bygones. Nobody will be happier than us if this report turns out to be true.
