The IIFA Utsavam has kept all the celebs from the South fraternity super busy. They’re ensuring that they don’t miss out on any of the functions and look their best as well. Last night, we saw some pretty faces but with horrible clothes, horrible makeup but pretty clothes, pretty altogether and horrible altogether. Basically, it had a nice balance of all probabilities we could expect in a fashion parade. There were celebs namely Aditi Rao Hydari, Adah Sharma, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rakul Preet, Shriya Saran, Amyra Dastur and many more who were present at the event. They’re very much a part of this list as well.
So without wasting any more time, let’s jump up to the list of best and worst outings from the night.
BEST
Aditi Rao Hydari
Outfit: Nikhil Thampi separates
Despite the busy patterns on Aditi’s separates, she pulled off the look really well. Take a look at it. Be it the hairdo or the light makeup, it all uplifted her look splendidly.
Adah Sharma
Outfit: Label D
Sharma’s pretty red carpet look needs nothing to be changed. It was simple and elegant. While she has been making quite a lot of fashion statements lately, we’re happy to see that she was among the fewer celebs who stood tall at the Utsavam event with her superb look.
Rakul Preet
Outfit: Chamaeleo
The outfit by the Costa Rican designer was a little too overwhelming. However, Rakul made the look work with apt finishing touches.Very smartly, the diva tied her hair up in a ponytail and wore strappy sandals. Thanks to this, the look didn’t seem too loud but very pretty.
Amyra Dastur
Outfit: Swapnil Shinde
Amyra looked like a princess as the walked the red carpet. Although we’ve seen a similar look in Kajol, somehow, Dastur’s look took our breath away. There was a sheer simplicity in her look that we just can’t get over. Well done!
Shriya Saran
Outfit: Falguni and Shane Peacock
Shriya has once again impressed us! Just recently at the red carpet of Hello! Hall of Fame, the actress had donned a dramatic blouse which took away all our attention. It was a good ensemble. Here, she has kept it simple and elegant. The navy blue gown flows perfectly and the interesting neckline makes for a sexy pattern.
WORST
Samantha Ruth Prabhu
Outfit: Sailesh Singhania
Sam is known for her good sense of fashion and yet right here, we weren’t very pleased. He blouse seemed a little too loud in terms of the ruffles while her sari was boring. We can’t decide what made our faces drop more. But in terms of hair and makeup, she did well!
Pragya Jaiswal
Outfit: Shantanu and Nikhil
Our biggest problem with Pragya’s look is the gown itself. It had too many elements and it didn’t look like it complemented her. Minus the gown, everything about her look is right.
Akshara Haasan
Outfit: Terrence Lobo
We couldn’t find anything interesting in Akshara’s look. It lacked styling, the gown seemed inappropriate and we especially despised the embellished tiers. That along with the fringed cape gave it a loud feel. Which we certainly didn’t like.
