This time, the fight has got really tough. Are you team Kaabil or Team Raees? VOTE and tell us…
So everyone’s looking forward to January 26, 2017 right now as that’s when two of the biggest films, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil will finally be hitting the screens. The anticipation around both the films is at its peak not just because Raees and Kaabil look equally promising but mainly because it’s for the first time SRK will be seen taking on Hrithik at the box office. In fact, for all the ignorant, Kaabil was initially to have a solo release on the Republic Day. However, just because SRK wanted to avert the big clash with Salman Khan’s Sultan, he had no choice but to push Raees further and further, eventually making it land on Jan 26, 2017. So anyway, now that this clash between Raees and Kaabil is far from getting averted, what side do you choose to be? Are you Team Raees or Team Kaabil? Let’s break through each of the films individually.
Starting with Raees, the film directed by Rahul Dholakia is an out-and-out underworld venture where Shah Rukh plays a bootlegger named Miyan Bhai, who gets involved in an illegal smuggling of liquor. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the cop, while Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will be seen making her Bollywood debut as Shah Rukh’s wife. From the little that we can make out from the stills and teaser, Raees is going to be one huge gamble from SRK’s side. His brooding character is something that might just blow our minds. In fact, even during his interview, SRK dropped hints on how Raees is going to be nothing like you’ve seen before as he said, “It’s not completely action but it is very intense. There are about four-five action sequences, but they are not stretched. It’s not like ki fight ho rahi hai and khatam hi nahi ho rahi. But yes, it’s very hard-hitting, very different from Fan. When Raees fights, he is going to win. You don’t fight with Raees.” Well, in that case, is Raees winning it already?
Moving over to Kaabil, this Sanjay Gupta directorial is an unusual revenge thriller that promises to keep you on the edge of your seats until the last minute. And for all we know, Hrithik Roshan plays a blind man with brains of a genius while Yami Gautam plays his ladylove who succumbs a tragic death after being raped. The film is a revenge thriller and if sources are to be believed then Yami will tragically die setting off a chain of events. While Hrithik will be the estranged lover in search of avenging his girl’s death. Sounds interesting right?
So now that you have the details of both the films, which film are you more excited about? SRK’s Raees or Hrithik’s Kaabil? VOTE in the given box below and we’ll be back with the verdict right here!
