Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, Kangana Ranaut, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil – meet the top 5 newsmakers of the week!

Read on to find out which stars of films made the headlines this week…

Here are the top five headline makers of the week:

Kangana Ranaut gives an explosive interview

After being accused by Adhyayan Suman as a man-beater and a black magic practitioner, Kangana Ranaut finally opened up in an interview where she bashed the villains in her life, without taking their names. The Barkha Dutt interview had her opening up about her recent controversies but without endangering her legal status!

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees shifted to 2017

After months of who would budge from the Sultan – Raees Eid clash, it was Shah Rukh Khan who bowed out of the contest, and shifted the film to January 26, 2017, now clashing with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. The makers of Raees had the excuse for this move is that as Raees is being made on a large magnitude, they want everything to fit in the right way. And nope, no one mentioned the debacle of FAN.

The first look of Kaabil is out

Speaking of this Hrithik Roshan film, the first look and motion poster of the Sanjay Gupta directorial is out! Hrithik Roshan plays a blind man in the film, whose ‘mind sees it all’, so claims the tagline. Whether it is a veiled threat to Kangana or SRK, we can never know…

Anushka Sharma impresses in the new Sultan teaser…and then…

On her birthday, that is May 1, Anushka Sharma received a special gift from Salman Khan and YRF in form of a special Sultan teaser focussing on her character, Aarfi. With a voiceover from Sultan himself, Salman Khan, the trailer was impressive….Only for us to find out later that it was a scene by scene copy of an ad featuring real-life wrestler Geeta Phogat. Interestingly, Aamir Khan’s Dangal is based on Phogat’s life.

Three movies out this week…but…

Sunny Leone’s erotic thriller One Night Stand, the much delayed Traffic, a remake of a hit Malayalam film, and the latest entrant of the horror franchise, 1920, in Sharman Joshi and Meera Chopra’s 1920 London…three films this week. However, I am not sure how much they can hold against the monster from Hollywood, Captain America: Civil War
