…speaking of Nargis, her first major release of this year, Azhar, came out this Friday. She plays Sangeeta Bijlani in the film, and her Oye Oye song is already popular with the masses. Azhar is a pseudo biopic of the former Indian cricket captain, who got involved in the match fixing scandal and had his career stalled. The film also stars Prachi Desai and Gautam Gulati. Along with Azhar, there is a small film, Dear Dad, where Arvind Swamy plays a father who has to reveal something secretive to his son on a road trip to his boarding school.

The first trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, Raman Raghav 2.0, is out and it really blew our minds with its trippy visuals and macabre sense of humour. Then there was also Irrfan Khan’s social thriller Madaari, that looks very interesting thanks to its unique premise. 2016 never looked more alluring!
