After Sultan’s completely rip off teaser featuring Anushka Sharma, here’s another disappointing revelation that makes us question our film’s originality!
Hollywood, you have been SPARED! After years of siphoning off Hollywood flicks, Bollywood has now turned its greedy eyes towards Asian films, especially Korean films.
You remember Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor’s Ek Villain which was a diluted version of the cult film, I Saw The Devil. And now Ek Villain has company, as there is another unexpected film that is looking like a straight rip off of another Korean film.
We are speaking about Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan’s TE3N! You know, the flick, whose trailer we had been praising moments ago, for promising us a different thriller. Now we realise that the promise has already been fulfilled by the Korean film-makers three years ago. TE3N is an inspired version of the 2013 Korean film, Montage.
In the Korean film, a mother loses her child to an anonymous kidnapper, and the case is left unsolved. After 15 years, the crime is repeated again, and the detective who was looking into the old case is perplexed, as the modus operandi used in the new kidnapping is same as the old one. Now the detective, along with the mother of the previous victim and the grandfather of the recent victim, set out to find the real culprit!
If the plot doesn’t sell the premise to you, perhaps the below trailers will…

…and now the TE3N trailer!
So what do you think of this latest copycat venture?
