1920 London, the third in the 1920 series, fails to keep the viewer hooked.
Vikram Bhatt’s latest horror story is not impressive. BollywoodLife reviewer Soumyata Chauhan watched the first day first show of 1920 London to find out if it’s worth your money and here’s what she felt about this Meera Chopra and Sharman Joshi starrer. Soumyata’s first thoughts on the movie…
“The London version of 1920 gives you a deja vu feeling and has nothing different from the earlier versions. The film suffers from weak acting and screenplay. The spirit looks make-believe and isn’t convincing enough. The third part is same as the earlier series except that this time the wife is saving her husband.”
She adds,”Shivangi (Meera Chopra) and Veerji (Vishal Karwal) belong to royal families of Rajasthan and are happily married in London. They receive a necklace from their home town one day after which everything changes. Like every other Hindi horror this too employs old ‘tantric‘ logic to substantiate the plot. The romantic scenes are quite cliched except that this time they dance in cotton fields instead of mustard fields. The songs are refreshingly nice. Meera Chopra is nothing but a decked up damsel in distress. (Jay) Sharman Joshi, the exorcist, sacrifices his life for Shivangi. Meera Chopra and Vishal Karwal disappoint you with their acting. Sharman Joshi is the only saving grace of this horror film. The supposedly horror film makes you laugh, smile basically anything but cringe. The twist before the interval is good but quite predictable.”
