Zee Cine Awards: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's Bajirao Mastani sweep away most of the technical awards!

Congratulations to the winners!

The much awaited awards night has begun. Zee Cine awards are being hosted by Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor. They have previously appeared together on Jhalak Reloaded as judges of the dance reality show. Technical awards were just bestowed upon their rightful winners. And Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Bajirao Mastani has cleared the plate- winning awards for best choreography, best visual effects, best action, best background score and best cinematography.

Best choreography– Ganesh Acharya, the trophy was awarded by the popular choreographer Shiamak.

Best visual effects –Prasad Sutar (Bajirao Mastani)

Best action – Shyam Kaushal, and the award was handed over by action star Akshay Kumar (Bajirao Mastani)

Best background score– Sanchit Balhara (Bajirao Mastani)

Best cinematography – Sudeep Chatterjee (Bajirao Mastani)

Piku won awards for best dialogues, best screenplay and best story; all won by Juhi Chaturvedi. Krishika Lulla handed over the awards. The movies nominated for the best film are Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Bajirao Mastani, Baby and Badlapur. Fans have their fingers crossed, hoping their favourite film wins.
