Vicky Kaushal’s Zubaan wins an award at London Asian Film Festival!

Zubaan is going places

Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias starrer Zubaan became the first Bollywood movie to open the Busan International Film Festival. Debutante director Mozez Singh won the Rising Star director Award there. And upon its release it was unanimously praised by the critics; Vicky got recognised for his stellar performance. And now the film has added yet another honour in its name.

At the recent London Asian Film Festival, the film has won the Best Produced Film award. The event was held at the BAFTA center in London. Mozez Singh and producer Guneet Monga were ecstatic over the win. The movie is coming-of-age musical drama. It tells the story of a guy who picks his propensity towards music over other earthly attractions. The director says that movie has been a coming-of-age for him.

Vicky had already surprised the audience with his stunning performance in Masaan. And Sarah Jane also delivered a hard hitting film Angry Indian Goddesses. So, when they came together for Zubaan, they were carrying a lot of expectations on their shoulders. And looking at the success the film is garnering at film festivals, they sure have delivered what was expected.
