T.Rajendar to sing a Kuthu song in Vijay's Theri!

Here is another exciting update from Vijay‘s upcoming movie Theri. Ace music director GV Prakash is constantly giving us fans a little taste of what to expect. He has already said that the first single from the movie titled Jithu Jilladi will be launched soon. Now he has something better in store for us.

It turns out that famous actor, director, singer and celebrity T Rajendar will be singing a song in the film. Now those who know Mr Rajendar know him for his hairstyle, funny antics and unique voice which he uses to give us the most fantastic kuthu songs. Kutthu songs are really the backbone of commercial South Indian cinema and the actor is one of the few people who can sing these kinds of song. Rajendar is actually the father of famous Kollywood actor Silambarasan, known as Simbu. He launched STR and he used to direct his son’s films and even sing songs once in awhile. This is how he became famous for singing Kuthu songs.

G.V Prakash has not cleared that what this song will be called, maybe it is Jitthu Jilladi itself, because we have already seen a little glimpse of the song’s lyrics and it definitely suits for a Kuthu song.

Theri stars Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. It is also the debut for Ilayathalapathy’s real daughter Divya. Theri is directed by Atlee of Raja Rani fame and the film is expected to release on 14 April on Tamil New Year.
