Prabhas fans ecstatic as Baahubali wins the National Award for Best Feature Film!

The film has been unanimously praised by the entire country

Here is another feather in the cap of Baahubali: The Beginning. The SS Rajamouli epic has won the Best Feature Film at none other than the National Awards, one of the most prestigious honours in the country. Other than grabbing the biggest accolade, it also managed to get the Silver Lotus Award for Best Special Effects which went to V Srinivas Mohan.

Of course after such a big achievement, Prabhas fans are really happy about it. Legions of fans of both the handsome actor and the film franchise itself have taken to Twitter to celebrate this historic win. It is a very big moment for Tollywood indeed as Baahubali has become the first Telugu film to grab a National Award for such a big title.

While Tamil cinema fans did not have much to rejoice about, Baahubali is a great victory for South Indian cinema as a whole because it has brought these regional film industries national as well as international recognition.

Other than the fans celebs too came out in scores to express their delight for the SS Rajamouli epic winning the National Award like Karan Johar- who distributed the film in Hindi, Rana Daggubati ,Tamannaah Bhatia- who both essayed important characters in the film and many others like also felt proud that they were associated with such a great film in some way.
