The film is directed by National award winner, Rajeev Ravi.
Dulquer Salmaan is on a roll these days. After impressing the entire South India with his boy-next-door act in OK Kanmani (which also gets a Bollywood remake in Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor‘s OK Janu), he bowled the audience in Kerala with his free-spirited act in Charlie, directed by Martin Prakkat, who earlier made ABCD with him.
His act impressed even the Kerala state award jury, that they awarded him the Best Actor over the more favoured Prithviraj (Ennu Ninte Moideen), Jayasurya (Su….Su…Sudhi Valmeekam) and his own father, Mammootty (Pathemari). Now he will be seen in ace cinematographer turned director Rajeev Ravi’s next. Quirkily titled Kammatipaadam, the film will release in May 2016.
The first look of the film is out and it will surely grab a lot of eye-balls. The film is said to be based in the ’80s, and the poster is certainly influenced by that era. But it is the look of Dulquer in the movie that intrigued as the most. The young actor has donned grey hairs in the film and his suit also reeks the eighties. His overall look truly reminds us of his father’s many portrayals in his films that were released during the ’80s.

Newcomer Shaun Romy is playing his heroine, while the film will also star Shine Tom Chacko, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan and Vinay Forrt.
Dulquer will also be seen in Samir Tahir’s Kali where he is paired with Premam actress Sai Pallavi.
