Director Shankar heaps praise on 2.O baddie Akshay Kumar!

The two are working together for the Rajinikanth starrer.

Shankar is a very well known name in Kollywood. He has delivered many blockbuster films like Anniyan, Sivaji, Enthiran, I and is now currently working on 2.O. A huge hype surrounds this film because of Rajinikanth, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and the director himself. So, when a director of such stature praises somebody, it is indeed newsworthy, which is exactly what happened here.

The big shot director openly praised Akshay Kumar, who is playing the baddie in his film. Shankar took to Twitter and said that he is really very happy to work with the Khiladi. Adding to this, he said that Akshay is really hard working, disciplined, cooperative and a thorough professional.

Of course, Bollywood fans already know this about the Airlift actor, but it is still a very proud moment for Akki fans to see their superstar praised by a great director like Shankar.

The 2.O team is currently busy shooting at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in New Delhi. It is a famous sports arena which mainly hosts football matches. Apparently, a scene depicting an Indian Super League match between Chennai and Mumbai will be shot here. Also, a few action sequences using heavy machinery will also be shot here. The shooting schedule began recently and will last a month. This is the first time Akshay has joined the sets of the film along with Rajinikanth and the director is already showering praises on him.

The Enthiran sequel is surely going to benefit with this amazing actor playing a crucial role in the film, and we can’t wait to see the Khiladi locking horns with Thalaivar.
