Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was at the NDTV Women of Worth Awards 2016 dressed in a beautiful off white Tarun Tahiliani lace saree. The Sarbjit actress looked stunning. Of course Ash was quizzed about her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan’s sixth National Award win this year for Piku. Aishwarya wasa proud daughter-in-law and spoke fondly of her Paa. Aishwarya said, “It’s not the first time and we are very proud of Paa… He has won his award yet again. His every performance deserves to be celebrated. Thank you on behalf of Paa and we love him and god bless him.”

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, actress Kangana Ranaut who has been amidst controversy for her fall out and legal battle with ex Hrithik Roshan also won the National honour for Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This was Kangana’s third National Award. Prabhas and SS Rajmouli’s magnum opus Baahubali to bagged an award this year for the best film. Amongst others who celebrated the award this year was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who bagged an award for his ambitious project Bajirao Mastani. Of course the National Awards became a highly debated topic on social media as many felt that the awards had become a Bollywood affair. Many felt that regional films were neglected and the mainstream Hindi films were given preference.

Coming back to the Women Of Worth Awards, apart from Aishwarya, Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor were also present. Ranbir Kapoor ex-lover looked stunning in a white Mikael D himmer gown. And Sonam Kapoor was her stylish self when she stepped out for the event in a Monique Lhuillier attire.
