Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar’s wedding has been one of the most talked of affairs of Bollywood. It was such a private affair that no one from the industry even had a hint of it. In fact, none from the industry except for ace designer Manish Malhotra made it for the wedding and also designed the outfit for Urmila. Well, she is not the first B-Townie who got hitched in a private affair. And ever since the news of her wedding has broken out, a lot of buzz about the groom, Mohsin Akhtar Mir’s history has become a talking point. While a lot of people are searching for information on who exactly is Urmila’s beau, his journey from Kashmir and Bollywood has been quite eventful.

Mohsin was actually a model and even tried his hand in acting. However, things took another turn and currently, he’s a happy businessman married to Urmila! His journey towards Bollywood began from Kashmir when he fled from the valley at the age of 21 to pursue a career in the modelling industry as his mother had started looking for a bride for him. He made his Bollywood debut in Saurabh Sengupta’s, It’s A Man’s World. Although the movie didn’t really fare well, he continued acting in a few more lesser known movies. He soon shifted his attention towards his main goal, modelling and was even crowned Mr. India runner up. Mohsin’s father is a businessman in Kashmir however his interest was more inclined towards modelling and therefore he ran away from his house.
