After her comeback vehicle, Jazbaa, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will next be seen in Sarbjit! It’s a biopic of Sarbjit Singh, who was wrongfully detained in a Pakistani jail there, and was ultimately killed in a prison fight!
Randeep Hooda plays Sarbjit Singh in the movie, but it is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is the real hero of the film. She plays Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit’s sister who strives very hard and knocks at every door to get Sarbjit released, but to no avail. This is a role that could get the former Miss World a huge chance at next year’s award shows, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the actress gives us a heart-rending performance of a sister whole sole aim in life is to get her brother released from a country that is on no friendly terms with us!
The makers have released the first look of Aishwarya Rai’s character in the film, and the sheer intensity of her look actually intimidates us! Though she looks old and forlorn, her eyes still blazes of the intensity of her determination to get her brother out. In the lower right hand corner of the poster, you can also see Randeep Hooda’s Sarbjit languishing behind the bars.
