Vidya Balan, has always been the go-to actress when it comes to performance driven roles and hence it comes as no surprise, that the actress was approached to essay Sridevi’s role in the remake of Sadma.
Sridevi’s award-winning performance in the classic continues to remain one of her finest till date. Ad filmmaker Llyod Baptista is now remaking the film and approached Balan to play Sridevi’s role in the film.
Says a source, “The makers met with Vidya recently to discuss the movie. While the film did excite her and she is of course a huge Sridevi fan, Vidya’s hands are full right now as she will be working on 3 films this year. Vidya also believes that she will not be able to do justice to Sridevi’s remarkable performance in the film and will not be able to completely focus on the film because of her packed schedule.”
