Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi starts as Sona (Erica Fernandes) hands over the mother duties to Dev (Shaheer Sheikh). She explains to him about the child’s feeding, his massage and also gives him a book for reference. Dev like a good student takes recordings, videos and lecture notes. Sona is still skeptical and Dev assures her that with such a teacher he will only come first. Dev walks around at night nervously and Sona knows he is panicking already. Sona gives him a nice head massage to calm him down. She says that they would together make things work. Ishwari cannot sleep and Mamaji talks to her saying they should be proud of Dev’s courage. Mamaji wants to give Dev a chance. Dev takes over kitchen and packs everyone’s tiffin boxes also makes breakfast. The family comes to the table to find wonderful breakfast. Radha Rani cannot digest the fact that Dev has now reached the kitchen just so Sona can work. Ishwari(Supriya Pilgaonkar) sulks majorly and Sona understands that there is a storm building up in Ishwari’s mind. (Also Read: It is Dev against Ishwari now while Sona is conflicted)
Dev gets the kids ready as Soha and Golu give him a tough time as they refuse to get up. Sona scolds Dev for being lenient on the kids and asks him to get them ready or they would be late for school. Sona slips and falls straight into Dev’s arms and they have an eyelock moment. Dev teases her for being late for work and going on with a 90’s style romance. Sona runs to office as she gives him a peck on forehead. Dev is packing the kids bag when Vicky(Vaibhav Singh) announces that he and Elena(Prerna Panwar) are off to Chandigarh. Dev says he would be okay with handling Golu and everything else. Ishwari watches him and is still disturbed as she tries talking Dev into understanding her point. Asha (Moon Bannerjee) talks to Bejoy(Jagat Rawat) as she worries about the Devakshi decision. She tells Bejoy that there is difference between a mother and father for a child. She says that the decision they took has been in a haste. Bejoy though is confident about Dev’s decision and support him totally. Ronita and Saurabh too have a bet where Ronita feels that Devakshi might fail this time while Saurabh is overconfident about his Jiju. Dev gets the kids ready and prepares to drop them to school. Sona gets Asha’s call and she asks her to rethink but Sona says that Dev is confident about this arrangement. Bejoy wants to meet Dev to encourage him.
